Fair Housing Statement

Lafayette County is an advocate for fair housing.  On August 13, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners of Lafayette County, Florida adopted Ordinance No. 90-6 , which outlines the county’s policy to promote opportunities for all persons to obtain adequate housing.   Ordinance No. 91-12, which was a revision to the previous was adopted on December 9th, 1991.  It is illegal to discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or familial status.  If you feel you have been discriminated in the following areas: sale or rental of housing or residential lots, advertising for sale or rental of housing, financing of housing, provision of real estate brokerage services, appraisal of housing, please contact the Lafayette County Clerk of Court at (386) 294-1600.
