The removal of storm-related debris from public property (Rights-of-Way) will commence on Monday, September 4, 2023. Debris removal is limited to storm-related debris which presents a health and safety hazard. All citizens are encouraged to segregate materials at the County right of way. Eligible debris MUST be separated into 4 categories to include: Vegetative Debris (shrubs and trees-cut into less than 20 foot sections), Construction & Demolition Debris (wood, sheetrock, furniture, and household materials) MATTRESSES MUST BE BY THEMSELVES and White Goods Debris (freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washers/dryers), and lastly Electronics Debris (computers, microwaves, laptops, cell phones, etc.) Mixed piles of debris will not be collected by County personnel.
This service will conclude on Friday, October 27, 2023, all debris must be picked up by this date. If you have any questions regarding debris removal services, please contact the Public Works Department by dialing 211 on any phone.
