Hurricane Debby Debris Pickup Information

Information Regarding Hurricane Debby Storm Debris Pickup

Attention!! Lafayette County Residents – Debris from Hurricane Debby will be picked up from the County right of way, please place your debris on the right of way without impeding traffic.

Debris removal is limited to storm-related debris which presents a health and safety hazard. All citizens are encouraged to segregate materials at the County right of way.

Eligible debris MUST be separated into 4 categories to include:

· Vegetative Debris (shrubs and trees-cut into less than 20-foot sections)

· Construction & Demolition Debris (wood, sheetrock, furniture, and household materials) MATTRESSES MUST BE BY THEMSELVES

· White Goods Debris (freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washers/dryers)

· Electronics Debris (computers, microwaves, laptops, cell phones, etc.)

Mixed piles of debris will not be collected by County personnel. All debris must be placed in the right of way by Friday, September 6, 2024.
